Pamela Sue Smith

In loving memory … Pamela Sue Smith was born on May 4, 1954, in Seymour, Texas and passed away at the age of 68, on March 20, 2023. Pam was the daughter of Faye Clifton and Joe Vandever.

She is survived by granddaughter Kaitlyn Smith and her children, Cooper and Jamison; Laramy Smith and her son Danny; sisters – Debbie Higgs, Cindi Friedel and husband Kenny, Stacey Crowe and husband David, and many nieces and a nephew whom she loved dearly and many others she loved and called family.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jacob Dan Smith; parents Faye and Hulen Clifton and Joe and Juanita Vandever, and brother-in-law Clifford Higgs.

Her young years were spent in the South Plains Texas town of Crosbyton. After high school, she moved to Denton, Texas where she met and married Danny Smith. They had their miracle baby boy, Jacob, born in Lubbock, Texas. Later, she made Estelline her home, where she raised Jacob. Although Pam moved away in later years, she always referred to Estelline as home.

Pam loved her family, her church family at the Bridge in Denton and her pets Spider and Tabby. She was a country girl. She loved the ranch, horses, flowers, working outside, digging in the dirt and nature in general.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on May 6, 2023, at the Estelline Cemetery. Although our hearts are grieving, our spirits are joyful knowing she is healed and is with our Lord.
