Christmas In The Park fundraiser with Santa on Saturday

CHILDRESS – Santa Claus is coming to town!

He will be at the fundraiser for Christmas in the Park at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. In addition to pictures with Santa, there will be hot cocoa and wagon rides through the park.

“The park is looking much better,” Christmas in the Park committee member Peggy Teague said. Because of the rain, not all of the Christmas displays lit up the night of the parade.

The Grinch will also be at the fundraiser, as well as Christmas carols, Christmas in the Park volunteer Nicole Dill said.

While the event is free, it is a fundraiser. Teague suggests attendees donate at least $5 to Christmas in the Park.

“Donations are extremely appreciated and graciously accepted,” she said. “As always, we thank you for the continued support of our beautiful Christmas in the Park.”
